Today Doorstep Digital enjoyed the privilege of Saving Yesterday for Tomorrow ™ in Austin, Texas at Querencia Retirement Community–Nursing Care and Assisted Living.
During the photo scanning project today, our Digital Archivists spent 9 hrs scanning around 4000 pictures, old letters, artwork, and many other priceless memories for this kind Austin Family. We used 2 scanners in the process of scanning these family photos. Our super zippy Kodak scanner and our Canon flatbed scanner. When we arrived, the pictures were not organized. They were in boxes and mildly loose. No prob! The family was great…they stayed at the retirement home and helped organized the pictures while we scanned. This helped a ton! Saved this family money and helped us complete the photo scanning project all in 1 day!
They both can scan multiple pictures at a time. They both handle very old pictures with great care. Even while scanning photos quickly, these scanners can maintain the integrity of each picture.
We use white cotton gloves for an extra measure of care for our clients and families’ photos.
With this particular project, we were able to set up our scanners and table in the room and scan all day. The family breathed a huge breath of relief at the end of the day once they finished the project with us!
